Energy Conservation Mandates Governor’s Executive Order “…all public schools in the State of Arizona shall be designed and constructed in a manner to reduce energy consumption and create more energy efficient facilities…”

Select and install low-emitting materials which will improve indoor environmental quality and decrease negative impacts on health and the environment. Attempt to match materials that are installed in the existing structures with environmentally-preferred alternatives, as appropriate. Implement recycling programs and policies to ensure that both construction and normal day-to-day waste streams are reduced and diverted away from the landfill.
