Officer positions… what do I do? Now that you have been elected… what do you do??

President… Nick T. It shall be the duty of the president to preside at the meetings. The president will run the meetings and be an example to all East students. Agendas are important to draft and follow in order to run the meeting in an organized and efficient manner. Agendas will be established at the officer’s meeting. In addition, the president shall assist with the induction ceremony and will also provide motivational to the members of our chapter.

Vice president… Claudia k. The vice president shall preside, in the absence of the president. It shall be the duty of the vice president to organize and lead committees, keep a record of projects & deadlines, and assist the president as needed. In case of the permanent absence of the president, the vice president will assume the presidency. In addition, the vice president shall assist with the coordination of the induction ceremony.

Secretary… Shika R. The secretary shall keep the minutes of all meetings and email them to Nick for the website at nickdtrev@gmail.com. In addition, the secretary shall keep attendance and handle all correspondence.

Treasurer… Andrea H. The treasurer may assist the advisors with the collection of funds for various NJHS activities, and may help maintain a running balance of NJHS accounts.

Sergeant at arms… Sophia F. The sergeant-at-arms shall maintain order during the meetings. It shall be the sergeant-at-arms responsibility to always act in a responsible and respectful manner. You are in a leadership position and should be a role model to others. The sergeant-at-arms is also expected to make sure each inductee meets all of the requirements. It is expected that you will greet members as they come in to the meeting.

Volunteer committee… veena t. The Volunteer Committee assists inductees with obtaining their service hours. The committee is responsible for sending the approved opportunities to Nick at nickdtrev@gmail.com to put on the website.

Web master… nick t. The web master is responsible for creating and maintaining the website throught the course of the year.
