Research centers are established in 9 cities 74 institutions 13 design bureaus

Siberian branch RAS In this year will be the 50 anniversary of creation of Siberian branch of Russian academy of sciences. During this period in SB RAS were created large scientific- experimental base and many original methods and devices.

In many organizations, institutes, constructing bureau, and experimental plants and in private persons there are unique memorials of our technical culture, representing important steps of development of Russian science. Our moral duty before the history and junior generation of scientists is to make up these achievements the property of specialists and public. It was the basis of necessity of creation of “Virtual museum of SB RAS”.

In our approach to creation of a distributed museum leans idea of electronic libraries. Electronic libraries - separate concrete technology of work with a metainformation, based on the unified cataloguing of all resources.

Now in the Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Science there are various databases and other resources containing the information on various aspects scientific, educational and economic activities of community. This information was a basis of creation of the Integrated Distributed Information System of Branch

E-library Virtual museum

Construction of libraries and collections the IDIS lean the metadescription describing a way of the organization of the information which is concretized in the scheme of data and the attributes describing the information in concrete metadata. Levels of system: Level 1. Storing data (System level) Level 2. Presentation data Level 3. Collections Level 4 – Replication of collections.

The system level provides access to the distributed storehouse of data (providers of data) – protocol Z39.50 based by use, translation of SQL- inquiries, LDAP. Registration. System caries out a determination of rights of access and location of databases. Database is compared with corresponding identifier for access to it in the system, physical address in the net, rights and passwords of access. Naming. System may join different tables, which may not correspond to standard scheme of data of collection. On the level of naming they carry out the establishment of interconnection between standard scheme of data of collection and scheme of data of concrete table. The provider of data. Using of the provider of data allows the supplement to abstract from the type of RDBMS. In other words, supplement turns to provider of data in a standard way, and provider turns to concrete RDBMS. Naming provides unification of inquiries: Named SQL (relational DB) Abstract SQL (type 104) Abstract RPN

Scientific centres SB RAS, scientific organizations and scientific employers. Virtual museum

Specificity of the virtual museum essentially differs from collections which have been presented to the IDIS of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Science. The virtual museum besides collections of documents (objects) on which relations and communications are set, contains objects which it is possible to name metadocuments Specificity of the virtual museum

Information filling of the Virtual museum persons, organization, artifacts, achievements, events, publications, thesauruses and classifiers

In the presented maintenance it is possible to allocate objects which information description is the document. Documents make filling base collections of a museum.

Documents

On the basis of use of the international standards of interaction of the open systems (OSI) the system of representation and classification of information resources of the Museum of the Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Science "Rubricator of information resources" is developed. The rubricator is intended for unequivocal ordering and classification of catalogued information resources and documents of Branch according to the scheme of metadata Dublin Core, expanded by additional schemes of data and codes of classifications. Expansions are connected with a subject domain and the coordination of system with qualifiers of the scientific and technical information GRNTI, having communications with the qualifier of UDC and the list of specialities HAC, and also with the list "the Basic directions of basic researches of the Russian Academy of Science", the approved decision of Presidium of the Russian Academy of Science from July, 1st, 2003 N 233.

In the decentralized distributed environment, for achievement of greater efficiency of interaction of program agents display of documents (search) is based technologies, semantic networks. Calculation of the validity of predicates of display on attributes of documents.
