How do we protect the environment? A young fleet means lower emissions levels. TAROM’s fleet is amongst Europe’s youngest fleet, average age of our aircraft: 9 years. Implementing innovative procedures means fuel savings and lower emissions levels: Continuous Descent Approach Reduction of CO2 emissions by 350 kg per flight Single Engine Taxi Reduces emissions up to 60 kg fuel burn Blended winglets on all Boeing 737 Next Generation Series in our fleet Reduces the aircraft emissions by up to 4% Noise signature at take-off by up to 6.5%

SkyTeam Alliance Starting June 25, 2010, TAROM has become a SkyTeam member. SkyTeam is a global airline alliance providing customers from member airlines access to an extensive global network with more destinations, more frequencies and more connectivity than before. This strategic alliance allows TAROM passengers to benefit from a global network consisting of nearly 15,000 daily flights covering 993 destinations in 186 countries.

Flying Blue June 2010: TAROM adopted the Flying Blue loyalty program owned by AIR FRANCE and KLM. Flying Blue members enjoy the possibility to earn and spend miles with any of the SkyTeam members and with 131 commercial partners. Award Miles obtained by Flying Blue members are valid for life with the condition of taking a SkyTeam flight at least every 20 months. Flying Blue program rewards its loyal customers with flight awards to many destinations, flight upgrades, extra baggage bonuses, services from partners, round the world tickets.
