Presentation transcript:

As human life began in a very simple and primitive way and continued until we reach 2013! Of course a lot of things changed during this huge period of time, now we are living in a modern and very quick world, to follow the life style in the 20th century we need an assistant, and our smart assistant is “technology”. I choose this topic because I want to know how far does technologies affect in our life nowadays? By the end of my project I will prove that technology effect had highly increased if we compared with the past 10 or 20 years for a lot of reasons. To come up with the conclusion I will use survey, and I will show the results at the end of my project. INTRODUCTION:

First I need to define “technology”: technology is when we apply scientific knowledge and methods to create new devices to make our life easier and faster, technology is developable. Technology can be either tool, applications machines …etc.; Also technology can be seen from different aspects 1. Technology as Objects: The physical devices of technical performance (like tools: I pad, lap top...) 2. Technology as Knowledge: The know-how behind technological innovation. 3. Technology as Activities: What people do - their skills, methods, procedures, routines. 4. Technology as a Process: Begins with a need and ends with a solution. 5. Technology as a Sociotechnical System: The manufacture and use of objects involving people and other objects in combination. WHAT IS TECHNOLOGY?

As life became faster people needed something to make life less complex! According to avoid complexity technology imposes itself in our modern life and it took the biggest space in. The interesting thing that technology has no limit! So once it is enter our life we cannot stop using it or even stop following the updates, also the noticeable thing is as technology devices became smaller it became more powerful and smarter ! Technology has a lot of advantages like: helping us in our work life, for example you can complete your work and send it back to your office even if you were miles away by ! In education, I believe that students are the most people who use technology and get it benefits by searching in internet and using other tools, applications and smart devices. Technology can be used in sciences, entertainment, communication...etc. All of this make people attracted to technology and we can notice that everyone no matter how old is he/she, gender, nationality, educational level … is using technology somehow in his/her daily life. WHY DOES TECHNOLOGY TAKE A BIG SPACE IN OUR LIFE?

In fact some thinks that technology disadvantages are more than the advantages; they claim that technology makes life more complex!! And it affect in our social life by making us isolate. Dependency, the more advanced technology became the more people depend on, and they are afraid from the complete depends! For example: before couple of years a scientific organization sues Google searching engine claiming that Google freezes people mind! Instead of reading books and searching people now type couple of words in there devices and they get hundreds and thousands of information, that is why they think people should use traditional way in gathering information. Less value in human workers! One machine can do 10 people work which is a good thing in one hand for production and manufacture and on the other hand this changes are causing a serious problems such us unemployment. As a solution to get all the advantages and avoid as possible as disadvantages we need balance in technology using, every individual should be smart enough to decide when and for what purpose he/she needs to use technology and when to stop using it, especially if our using cause harm for others.

The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the standard Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP) to serve several billion users worldwide. It is a network of networks that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks, of local to global scope, that are linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless and optical networking technologies. The Internet carries an extensive range of information resources and services, such as the inter-linked hypertext documents of the World Wide Web (WWW), the infrastructure to support , and peer-to-peer networks. Internet made people life easier, it give them all what they need, information, business deals, electronic trade…etc.  According to my survey no one from the people whom I asked spend less than two hours in serving the internet! 80% from them use it daily.  90% of their use is for social networks, they also use internet for entertainment or educational purpose. INTERNET:

Social media refers to the means of interaction among people in which they create, share, and/or exchange information and ideas in virtual communities and networks, the good thing about it is that using social networks is less expensive and more effective, and most important follow up with new generation (even technology or human generation).  According to my survey, people spend hours using the social networks most of them keep using it for the whole day – having a easy access by using smartphones give them this opportunity-, girls use social networks more than boys. SOCIAL NETWORKS:

Smartphone is a mobile phone built on a mobile operating system, with more advanced computing capability and connectivity than a feature phone. The first smartphones combined the functions of a personal digital assistant (PDA) with a mobile phone. Later models added the functionality of portable media players, low-end compact digital cameras, pocket video cameras, and GPS navigation units to form one multi-use device. Many modern smartphones also include high-resolution touchscreens and web browsers that display standard web pages as well as mobile-optimized sites. High-speed data access is provided by Wi-Fi and mobile broadband.  100% from people whom I asked they have smartphone! The phone that came at the first place is Black Berry, then I phone and Galaxy. But in my own point of view I think after a while Galaxy will take Black Berry place! Because we can easily notice a recovery in Galaxy sales and reduction in Black Berry use. SMART PHONES:

TECHNOLOGY USING AREAS

All in all, technology is applying our scientific knowledge to create new tools or skills which make life easier for us, technology passed in tens of steps until it totally developed. Technology has both, good and bad faces, we as human should balance our use to get the highest benefit from it, it is unstoppable, it will always develop according to our needs. CONCLUSION:
