WHY IS INFORMATION SO IMPORTANT? STUDENT:V.Florin şi M. Remus CLASS:VIII SCHOOL:Gim. Dersida

WAYS OF INFORMATION IN THE MODERN SOCIETY….. The ways of information in the modern society are:Television, Radio,Press and last but not least the Internet. The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the standard Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP).computer networksInternet Protocol Suite It is a network of networks that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks of local to global scope that are linked by a broad array of electronic and optical networking technologies. The Internet carries a vast array of information resources and services, most notably the inter-linked hypertext documents of the World Wide Web (WWW) and the infrastructure to support electronic mail.informationhypertextWorld Wide Webelectronic mail

WE CAN COMMUNICATE USING… The Internet :with the help of Yahoo Messenger, MSN, etc., and with the help of sites from were you can send electronic “letters” (email).

WE CAN COMMUNICATE USING… And the most common way of communication is of course the telephone. Communication was made very simple when the telephone was invented. Sounds were transmitted over long distances in a matter of seconds Now something better is here to help us communicate faster and cheaper: VoIP - the future of voice communication (especially because of the prepaid phone calls!)

WE CAN COMMUNICATE USING… PressThe news media refers to the section of the mass media that focuses on presenting current news to the public.mass medianews

THERE IS INFORMATION IN… PRESS

THERE IS INFORMATION IN… TELEVISION Television (TV) is a widely used telecommunication medium for transmitting and receiving moving images, either monochromatic ("black and white") or color, usually accompanied by sound. "Television" may also refer specifically to a television set, television programming or television transmission.telecommunication medium images monochromaticcolorsoundtelevision settelevision programmingtelevision transmission

THERE IS INFORMATION IN…. RADIO Radio systems used for communications will have the following elements. With more than 100 years of development, each process is implemented by a wide range of methods, specialized for different communications purposes communications Early uses of Radio were maritime, for sending telegraphic messages using Morse code between ships and land. The earliest users included the Japanese Navy scouting the Russian fleet during the Battle of Tsushima in 1905. One of the most memorable uses of marine telegraphy was during the sinking of the RMS Titanic in 1912, including communications between operators on the sinking ship and nearby vessels, and communications to shore stations listing the survivors.Morse codeBattle of TsushimaRMS Titanic

THERE IS INFORMATION IN… INTERNET The World Wide Web offers information and data from all over the world. Because so much information is available, and because that information can appear to be fairly “anonymous”, it is necessary to develop skills to evaluate what you find. When you use a research or academic library, the books, journals and other resources have already been evaluated by scholars, publishers and librarians. Every resource you find has been evaluated in one way or another before you ever see it.
