“Can Animals Think?” Journal Can animals think and reason like humans? Provide evidence of your thinking. Read the Time Magazine article “Can Animals Think?” by Eugene Linden and answer the following questions in paragraph form: Based on the article, how has your opinion strengthened or weakened? Explain. Should we reconsider how we treat animals based on the research in this article? Explain why or why not. TOTAL RESPONSE MUST BE AT LEAST HALF A PAGE

“Shooting an Elephant” Qs 1) What is the POV? What is the narrator’s role in the Burmese village? 2) Is the opening paragraph indirect/direct characterization?
