ESL 403 – Workshop #1 Formatting a Paragraph
Proper format of a paragraph 1.Name, class & date at top right 2.Double space 3.Font size: 12 4.Indented (use the Tab key above Caps Lock) 5.Title: Centered, important words capitalized The last page of your syllabus shows a paragraph with correct format. Take it out now.
What’s wrong with the paragraph? 1.Open the sample paragraph from the homepage. 2.Decide what is wrong with the formatting. 3.Fix the formatting on your laptop. Do you know how to do a word count? 4.The staff will walk around and answer questions 5.In 5 minutes, you will check your work. 6.Save it to your flash drive as “well_formatted_parag ph”
When you are typing your paragraphs this semester, if you forget how to format properly, please look at your syllabus and/or ask the ESL 403 staff.
