Use Research Source Worksheets! Determine what TYPE of source it is (a book, an online article, etc) Determine citation formatted (what information will need to be included and in what order) Hand-write out each citation, first. Make sure it’s correct. There are lots of little, funny punctuation rules to follow. Arrange citations in alphabetical order. Use the first letter that appears in the citation.

Use the Toolbar at the top to Set Up the page before you begin typing.

Open a Word Document Go to the Toolbar at the Top. In the box marked “Font”, choose “Times New Roman” size “12” Click “Paragraph” - “Spacing” set at “0” and “0” and “Double” Click “Page Layout” – check set to “Left Justify”; “Page Layout” - “Margins” – set to 1 inch (1”)

7. Type “Works Cited” – NO UNDERLINE, NO ITALICS; Center it on the page 8. Start Typing your Citations in. 9. After the citations are entered, then fix the spacing on any citation that runs more than one line long. NOTE: simplify web addresses and remove hyperlinks
