What can we do to help?

To protect our environment, we need to prevent waste from going into landfill sites.

We can reduce waste by buying goods with less packaging and by avoiding disposable items.

Repairing the things we use helps to reduce waste and makes useful things last longer.

We can reuse shopping bags and cardboard boxes. We can donate unwanted items to charity shops where they may be used again.

We should separate recyclable materials such as glass, plastic and paper so that they can be made into new products.
