WHY SHOULD WE REUSE ITEMS? WHY SHOULD WE RECYCLE? HOW CAN WE HELP?

RECYCLING MEANS TO USE MATERIALS AGAIN TO MAKE SOMETHING NEW!

5 WHY SHOULD WE REUSE ITEMS?
PRODUCTS THAT STAY USEFUL REDUCE THE DEMAND FOR NEW PRODUCTS REUSING ITEMS ALSO EXTEND THE PRODUCTS NEED TO BE RECYCLED OR THROWED AWAY

6 WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO REDUCE?
REDUCTION MEANS TO MAKE SOMETHING SMALLER USE SOMETHING LESS OFTEN

7 Where does it go? Much of our garbage ends up in landfills.
Sometimes the garbage is taken to an Incinerator where it is burned.

8 HOW CAN WE HELP? We can help by learning more about and
Practicing the three “R”s of management: Reduce, reuse, and recycle.

9 HOW B.V.S PARSI SCHOOL RECYCLE MATERIALS
PAPER Reduce paper waste by cancelling unwanted deliveries, or read news important events and notices online on school web site .

10 Using recycled paper whenever possible.

12 GLASS Reuse glass whenever possible. Jars can be used as small containers and bottles can be used as vases.

13 TEXTILE Donate old clothes and shoes to charity shops or take them to a jumble sale. Old clothes can be used to make other textile items, such as cushion covers or cleaning clothes.

14 COMPOSTING Compost is used as fertiliser in garden soil.

15 TRASH FOR CASH There is a ‘trash for cash ’ scheme operating by school students . The money is used for needy people and students in our society.
