THE FIRST CHRISTIAN BABYLON  THE RULING TIME OF THE FIRST CHRISTIAN BABYLON 538 TO 1798  THIS 1260 YEAR PROPHECY IS MENTIONED SEVEN TIMES IN THE BIBLE  THIS PHASE OF THE CHRISTIAN BABYLON HAS BEEN IN A FALLEN CONDITION FOR CENTURIES.

GREAT CONTROVERSY P. 382  Babylon is said to be "the mother of harlots." By her daughters must be symbolized churches that cling to her doctrines and traditions, and follow her example of sacrificing the truth and the approval of God, in order to form an unlawful alliance with the world. The message of Revelation 14, announcing the fall of Babylon must apply to religious bodies that were once pure and have become corrupt. Since this message follows the warning of the judgment, it must be given in the last days; therefore it cannot refer to the Roman Church alone, for that church has been in a fallen condition for many centuries.

GREAT CONTROERSY P.382  Furthermore, in the eighteenth chapter of the Revelation the people of God are called upon to come out of Babylon. According to this scripture, many of God's people must still be in Babylon. And in what religious bodies are the greater part of the followers of Christ now to be found? Without doubt, in the various churches professing the Protestant faith.

IT IS VERY EVIDENT THAT BABYLON COMES IN TWO PHASES

THIS BABYLON ALSO HAS A FALL

THE FALL of Phase #2 of Babylon is predicted in Revelation 18  Rev. 18:1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.  18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

REVELATION 18  18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.  18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

The Fall of Phase # 2  The fall of this phase of Babylon is the last phase as this fall is followed by the seven last plagues which precedes the end of the world.
