AAS Degree versus AS Degree versus AAOT Degree….? AAS Degrees are for technical or vocational majors Technical and vocational majors are not generally found at four year universities. For that reason, AAS Degrees are non-transferable. They are designed to make you work-ready in two years. AS and AAOT Degrees are for transfer majors, such as Computer Science, History, French, Engineering, Mathematics, Political Science, etc. They are NOT designed to make you work-ready in two years.

Transfer Option for AAS Degree Graduates Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Management Oregon Technology (OIT) Southern Oregon University (SOU) Admission Requirements include: Completion of an AAS Degree Completion of MTH 95 or higher Completion of EC 201, EC 202, BA 211, BA 213, COMM 111 & others

Career Pathways The CAS Career Pathway certificates are designed for students with little to no background in computer applications. The CIS Career Pathway certificates, however, were designed for the IT Professional with an IT background. These are being terminated Fall 2015; replaced with advanced certificates that need advisor approval.

Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Students are expected to maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress. Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher; and Successfully pass at least 2/3 or 67% of your attempted credits each term If you don’t meet one or both of the above requirements, you will be placed into Academic Warning, Academic Probation or Academic Suspension Financial Aid’s Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements are stricter!

Graduation Requirements Complete the requirements of your certificate or degree per the catalog year you are graduating under Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher at the time of graduation Meet Residency Requirements AAS Degree: complete at least 30 credits at PCC, 24 of which must apply to the degree you are completing Certificate: complete at least 12 credits at PCC, 9 of which must apply to the certificate you are completing
