 Heroin itself is made from morphine, a highly potent painkiller which occurs naturally in the latex sap of the seed pod of the opium poppy, known as opium.

 It look like a fine white powered but more often, it is found to be rose gray, brown or black in color.  The various additives do not fully dissolve.

 Injected: Injecting a drug intravenously means that more of the drug will reach the brain more quickly.  Smoked: Smoking Heroin or also known as (AKA) chasing the dragon is a method of intake for the drug heroin  Snorted: Snorting involves inhaling heroin powder through the nose. It then enters the bloodstream through the nasal tissues. It is usually snorted by using a straw or rolled up paper. According to the Harm Reduction Coalition, it takes about 10 minutes to feel the effects of heroin when snorted.:
