CHILDHOOD Henryk Sienkiewicz was born on 5-th May 1864 in Wola Okrzejska, Lithuania. Son Józef and Stefania from the Cieszowskich. He came from poor family. When he was 9 years old,he lived in Warsaw (Poland).

YOUTH In he was a reporter and writer,what is more he was a co-owner in of thenewspaper „Niwa”and editor of the journal „ Word”. In years he like a correspondent Newspaper Poland, he has been in America.

DEATH He died on 15 – th November in 1916 in Vevey (Switzerland). In 1924 he government brought his ashes to Poland and buried them once again in St. John”s cathedral in Warsaw.
