BUILDING A BICYCLE RENTAL SYSTEM IN SAN FRANCISCO Xingzhou Li Introduction to GIS

Background  California AB 32: reducing GHG emissions to 1990 levels by 2020 (a reduction of approximately 30 percent)  San Francisco Climate Action Plan: Increase bicycling as an alternative to driving (estimated CO2 reduction: 10,000 tons)  Specific Actions Proposed by San Francisco Continue to improve and expand bicycle parking facilities; Improve bicycle access to transit.
