What is Made4Me? Made4Me is a project that aims to alleviate youth unemployment, by matching students with potential employers. While doing so, Made4Me will: ∆ Induce a concept of youth employment among students, their parents and potential employers ∆ Team up youth of same area to make the communities stronger. ∆ Train the students in skills they want to learn. ∆ Create a tradition of part-time youth employments in various industries. Made4Me has 5 stages. 1.Form a youth based organization to work for youth employment 2.Maximize Awareness among youth and their parents, and motivate them towards employment 3.Communicate with employers to find job opportunities for students 4.Strengthen the skills and aptitude of students through training, and promote team work 5.Match students with employers and get them employed Made4Me will connect students with employers and other students. How Made4Me works?

Why Made4Me is a perfect solution? Independence and job satisfaction Job Training Anonymous and perfect Matching Personalized Application Youth Personalized Job Offers Trained Employees Interview before selection Budget Flexibility Employers Unemployed Youth Will:  Submit credentials through application form or telephone.  Give an oral career assessment.  Mention any special requirements, like location, environment or time.  Mention skills and field of interest.  Meet the local team assigned.  Watch and study the training material sent.  Give an evaluation exam.  Give an interview and get selected.

When and where? Made4Me is a 2-year project, running through August 2013 – July It will be based in Karachi, the most populated city of Pakistan. According to our estimates, Made4Me will require a budget of EUR 6000 only. Made4Me needs volunteers. We aim to get 300 young volunteers from universities. Volunteers will be required to devote 3 hours/ week. Board members of the organization will devote hours/week. Made4Me will: Recruit 300 young volunteers Spread awareness to 5000 students and 1000 parents. Reach out to 300 potential employers or businesses. Train students in skills necessary for a job of their field. Get students employed part-time. Spread awareness about freelancing to students who did not get employed. Made4Me Investment

Made4Me Unemployment Survey Made4Me Reality Check  100% of the students opted for part-time job.  Only 1/3 chose single gender environment over co- gender environment.  Only 26% chose a home- based job over a location near home. No one chose a location far from home.  Approx. ¾ of the students sought Rs (EUR 120) or less each month from their part-time job.  80% chose time-frame of 2pm to 8pm for their part- time job.  None of the students were appropriately trained for a job in their education field. Made4Me sent out a survey to students of Karachi. 90% of the students were unemployed. When asked if they wanted a job, all of them said “Yes”. The other 10% tutored younger students. 70% of the respondents were females. The total monthly family income of 80% of the students was Rs (EUR 470) or less. All (100%) of the students had their parents to pay for their education. Made4Me Reality Check Made4Me sent out an application form to students who participated in the survey and need employment. 56% of the students responded. 2/3 of these were females. Made4Me ‘ s initial plan was to collect student data, create job opportunities and match the students with the job. However, after the reality check, we realized that students of Pakistan are not ready to take on a job. They must be trained for a job before they apply for it. Considering these facts, Made4Me was remolded into a system, that recruits, trains, guides and matches students to a job. Made4Me Partnerships Made4Me plans to partner with local businesses and potential employers. Made4Me also plans to partner with a national government program (Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Youth Development Program) that trains youth (not students) and offers a stipend during training, but does not offer jobs.
