Example of Windows Movie Maker MOVIE ! MOVIE

Step 1: Import Photos

This will pull up your pictures Highlight the ones that you want to use Click on Import

Step 2: Place/Arrange Photos

Photos can be placed in any order and can be added, deleted or rearranged at any time

Step 3: Add transitions

Step 4: Add Video Effects

To change a video effect, you must first delete it (unless you want your layered video effects) 1. Right click on the star in the corner Drop List will appear 2. Click Delete Effects

Step 5: Import Music

This will bring up your files Find and highlight the music file(s) you want to use Click on Import

The Music file will show up in your collection of photos (usually at the beginning) Drag the file down to where you would like it to start For example: If you would like it to start at the beginning, you would drag it to in front of your first photo.

This will automatically convert your storyboard to a timeline

Storyboard vs. Timeline A timeline enables you to set the duration of your slides, put the music exactly where you want it, as well as see all parts of your video and where they overlay all at the same time

Step 6: Editing Music A particular song can be shortened or a particular part selected by clicking on either the end of the beginning of a file (whichever part you’d like to cut out) and dragging in towards your desired spot in the song By right clicking on the highlighted music file, you have the ability to change the volume of this particular song, fade it in or fade it out…all very useful editing tools in making your music “blend” with your photos.

Two or more songs… Whether it be at the end of a song or after a song has been clipped, another song can be dragged down next to a previous song By clicking on the second song and dragging it towards the first song, you will cause the first song to fade out as the second fades in.

Step 7: Adding Titles, Credits, and Captions

After you click “Make Titles and Credits”, this list will appear. To make a Title page To make Credits for the end To make a caption on a selected photo (make sure the photo you want this caption on is highlighted in the timeline)

After you select one of the previous options, this screen will appear. Type in the top box whatever you would like your main title to be, and in the lower box an optional subtitle. You can then edit your title page/captions (in the circled area)

Change the text animation Change the font style and color

CAPTIONS WILL BE ADDED IN THE SAME MANNER. Titles and credits will appear on the top VIDEO row, captions will appear on the bottom TITLE OVERLAY.

Step 8: Save or Copy to a CD/DVD

Step 8: How to View Your movie can be viewed at anytime along the process by clicking the play button on the movie screen off to the right After you file has been saved, you can open it from your documents and view it in Windows Media Player

How to Make an Auto-Movie Once again, import any photos, videos or songs you would like to use, then click Make an AutoMovie. This will automatically put everything from your collection into a video with transitions, effects, titles and credits!

So whether you chose to take the easy way or put a little creative juice into your creation, Windows Movie Maker will help you rank right up there with the Hollywood film makers !
