Business Information Exchange Committee – Terms of Reference PURPOSE The primary focus for the Committee is to learn from one another and discuss similar challenges and opportunities that exist between them. This will help Kohthom District have a better understanding of how it can best support local businesses and identify other opportunities.

OBJECTIVES Provide information sharing opportunities. Provide feedback and recommendations to Kohthom District representatives on possible economic development opportunities. Facilitate learning opportunities common to the Committee. Facilitate stakeholder partnerships. To promote a business environment which supports local economic development. To give input to Town of Beaumont representatives on important local economic development actions and activities. Business Information Exchange Committee – Terms of Reference

ACTION STEPS To work with the Committee to obtain information related to common challenges and opportunities. Collaboration of Committee participants and Kohthom District representatives. Business Information Exchange Committee – Terms of Reference

RESOURCES Committee to work within the current resources available. Additional resources to be approved by the FCM, NLCS/S. Other Cambodian partners working on the LED FCM project (Ta Kmoa, Kampong Cham and Kongmeas). Other Canadian partners working on the LED FCM project (Chilliwack, Newell). There shall be no remuneration for Committee members. Business Information Exchange Committee – Terms of Reference

COMPOSITION OF COMMITTEE The Committee shall consist of the following participants: Mayor of Kohthom District Councillor from Kohthom District 8 Business owners in Kohthom District Representative – female from the business community The Committee shall serve as long as the participants find a value in having meetings. Business Information Exchange Committee – Terms of Reference

MEETINGS The Committee shall meet a minimum of 3 times per year. Kohthom District will be responsible to prepare the agenda. Meeting agenda items may be received by Committee participants. Business Information Exchange Committee – Terms of Reference
