Public Act Amends 625 ILCS5/11-601(b) Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to increase the speed limit on rural interstates from 65 MPH to 70 MPH. Effective 1/1/14 Alters the fines for speeding offenses

Public Act Amends 625 ILCS 5/12-212(a) Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to allow for the use of red or white oscillating, rotating, or flashing lights on Illinois Department of Transportation vehicles designated as Emergency Traffic Patrol. These lights shall only be operated when the vehicle is responding to an emergency call or is on the scene of an emergency. Effective 1/1/14
