Introduction An activity for 5th and 6th grade students to explore the world outside of rural Egg Harbor City. Student will be given a budget to spend on a destination of their choice. Here is your chance to visit anywhere in the world!

Tell your classmates why they should visit your destination. Vacations should be cost- effective. What can you do while on vacation? Find a place rich in culture. Task Attract visitors to your destination!

1. Students will gather three facts about their destination. 2. Students will use travel sites to gather prices for their hotel expenses, airfare, area attractions, currency and cultural events. 3. Students will keep track of their spending in an Excel spreadsheet. 4. Students will find a recipe from their destination that is authentic to the country to duplicate and bring in. 5. Students will create a map using Google maps that will show the areas that were visited. 6. Students will create a travel video to persuade others to visit their destination. 7. You can give travel tips about places to go and where to stay. You can explain the wonderful experiences that visitors to your country will witness on their vacation to your dream destination.
