2 The goal of this Web Quest is designed to engage students in discovering, discussing and developing an understanding of the importance behind historical events in African American History that changes our Nation.

Wouldn’t you like to hear Martin Luther King, Jr. stand up and say, “I have a dream…” Well here is your chance to travel back in time and to make one of these important event come alive. 4 TASK 1.You will work with a team and be assigned an event that took place during the Civil Rights Movement. 2.Your job is to become an expert on that event by using a research organizer and the Internet sites provided to gather information on your historical event. 3.Write an individual report about your historical event. 4.Participate in an reenacted of your historical event. 6 PROCESS Step 2: You will now use provided Internet sites to research your event and write a report. Additional sites are provided on the Credit page as well as videos on your event. 7 PROCESS Step 3: Once you and your team have finished your research process, you can begin developing a written report. Be sure to include the following items: Pictures of key people from the event Pictures of the event A typed written report highlighting the information gathered from your research.
