4. Objective Students will be able to calculate the cost of a trip to California Students will be able to conduct research using the internet Students will be able to maintain and balance a budget

5. Procedure This lesson will be introduced over a 2 day period. Students will receive the notes that are necessary to complete this unit. As a class we will complete a model web quest via the promethean board, and Apple Laptop and Project. As a class we will discuss how to stay within and utilize a budget. Students will then take that information and have 5 class periods to complete the web quest independently. A wireless cart will be brought into the classroom so that students can use the internet in class to complete this. The entire assignment will be done in class.

6. Evaluation Students will be evaluated on their excel & Word Documents that they will create: Excel will contain various prices, and places you will visit. Word will also contain the websites that they have visited. Students will also write a conclusion (in word) to state which city will give you the biggest bang for your buck. This grade will count as a test grade The rubric for this assignment is attached Web Quest Rubric
