Parts of a Plant 6 th Grade Agriscience

Directions  Go through the slide show each slide at a time.  Make sure you watch the clips and answer any questions that go with them.  When you get to a slide that has click on him and it will take you back to your previous slide.  There will be a directions slide before any slide that has special directions.

Essential Question  What are plant structures, their parts, and their functions?(Unit)

Now Starring…  Anther – holds the pollen  Stamen – Male part of the flower contains the anther.  Pistil – Female part of the flower contains the stigma.  Stigma – the part of the flower that is receptive to the flower.  Petals – Attract the insects.  Sepals – leaf like structure under the petals that helps to support the flower

Fruit and Vegetable  Fruit – based on the definition anything that is edible with a seed.  Vegetables – do not carry seeds.
