what is the cause of the disease? Rhimovirus is the most common form, while others exist like; Coronavirus, Influenza, Parainfluenza and Human Respiratory Virus. The common cold is transferred via the air, through airborne droplets (expelled when sneezing or coughing). Can all so be transferred via direct contact with infected objects. The virus can survive for some time outside the human body.

Not many precautions can be made to prevent catching the common cold, washings hands with soap is one of the only ways to protect yourself, you should always cover your mouth when sneezing and coughing to prevent the transmission of the disease to someone else. The duration of the cold can not be shortened, but medication can ease the symptoms.
