Electromagnetic Waves and Applications Research in the Subject at Poly Prof. Nirod K. Das

Research Areas in Electromagnetics and Applications Antennas and Radiation New material for advanced antenna applications: artificial materials, unidirectionally conducting substrates, anisotropic substrates. High efficiency, high polarization purity, high gain, wide-angle steerability. Printed and integrated antennas and phased arrays, compact diversity antennas. Microwave Circuits and Devices Microwave circuits with advanced materials, non-radiative dielectric waveguides, waveguides for compact multilayer ICs, power leakage phenomena in multilayer circuits and suppression methods. Circuits for millimeter, sub-millimeter wave, terahertz applications, multilayer ICs, multilayer large phased arrays. Electromagnetic Theory and Computational Electromagnetics “Smart-EM” analysis and computation. Numerical-analytical methods, hybrid techniques using suited methods for different parts for fast computation. EM modeling of artificial material environment. Large system simulations, high frequency or large bandwidths, fast design optimization for complex systems, advanced materials and devices for next generation applications.
