What is wine? “Wine is a beverage produced by fermentation of the juice of grapes, mostly of the species Vitis vinifera.”(Baldy, 1) The scientific study of wines and winemaking is called enology, wine tasting is a branch of enology.

How is wine made? Wine is made through the process of fermentation.
