Our Project 3D short film Based on “A Sound of Thunder” by Ray Bradbury 1-year production period For IMD-XXXX Fourth Year Project

“ A Sound of Thunder ” Written in 1952 by Ray Bradbury Short story about the consequences of irresponsible time travel

Main Characters Travis –Hunting guide for Time Safari Inc. Eckels –Customer –Wealthy executive

The Story in 1 Minute Eckels arrives at Time Safari Inc. Travis explains the rules: –Don’t touch anything They go back to kill a T-Rex Eckels, initially confident, flips out Alerts the Dino before team is ready

The Story in 1 Minute Dino attacks, injures a hunter Team kills it Travis sees Eckels has dirty shoes –He stepped off the clean, designated path They return home Present has changed Travis kills Eckels

Design - Script Development Short story was transformed into script format Thorough editing process –Removal of dull dialogue –Modernizing and naturalization of dialogue –Addition of cinematic sequences

Design - Visual Style Decision: Stylized characters in relatively realistic surroundings –Smooth characters –Contemporary-looking technology –No flying cars, etc Simplified characters will make animation easier within our timeframe
