Two Kinds of Questions Yes or No kind Wh- Kind Need the answer yes, or no Do you like chocolate? Is he from Mexico? Are you going to school tomorrow? Wh- Kind What, Why, How, Where, Who, When, How often Needs more information in the answer Where do you live? When does our class end?

Two Ways To Make A Question We change the position of the verb and the subject For “be” verbs and modal verbs (can, should) Are you at home? Was your sister at work yesterday? Can I go to the bathroom? Where is the bookstore? We add an extra word, like “do/does” or “did” For all other English verbs When does the bookstore close? Did you work yesterday? Does your son like to play basketball?
