Islamic Arts (Dala and Fanajeel) Done by: Abdulrahman Al-Khalifa Hamad Al-Jaber 8C

Islamic Art Islamic art is plenty of mysterious and stories and it’s a legendary art from 100’s of years ago. Islamic art mostly contains geometric shapes, rather than drawing humans body and faces. This is because a religious thing and a tradition that everybody knows and took from the “Quran”. Islamic art is not an art pertaining to religion only. Islamic art is developed from many sources like Roman and early Christian. Central Asian styles and Chinese had an important effect on Islamic painting, pottery and textiles. There are repeating elements in Islamic art such as the use of geometric floral or designs in a repetition and that is known as arabesque. Human representation is not aloud in Islamic law, its known as Sharia law. Islamic art contains pottery, architecture, calligraphy and Persian carpets and many others. Even when we serve our Arabian tea, you feel the flavor of Islamic art on the tea cup or even the Arabian tea pot. They have plenty of geometrical shapes and symmetry in addition to repetition. Tea cups and the tea pot is known as Islamic art and used basically in the middle eastern countries. Our example today of Islamic art, will be the tea pot and tea cups and you can realize the geometric shapes in it and the repetition.
