EXECUTIVE POSITION I am Frederick NDIP and I am a candidate for the post of MINCAM Secretary General. My family and I came to Minnesota from California in the summer of 2003. We were attracted to this great State because of its reputation of being family and community friendly. It is this quest for community and the desire to see my four lovely children grow up in a peaceful, respectful, and healthy community that I sort to belong, participate, and contribute actively in my Cameroon community. I started by joining my local ethnic group (Manyu Elements cultural Association) which was already strong and vibrant. I also served from 2007 to 2009 as the Chair of AWAD, a collaborative of over 40 organizations working to eliminate the incidence of HIV/AIDS in the African Community in MN. As a passionate believer and advocate of a strong and united community, I joined forces with other leaders of Cameroon community organizations to find ways of bringing our community together. I was one of the five signatories to an invitation of leaders of cultural and social groups in Minnesota that led to the creation of MINCAM. I initially served as a board. Since then, I have steadfastly and faithfully served the MINCAM community. The main responsibility of the Secretary General is to implement the programs and activities approved by the Board as well as assist the President in raising funds for the organization. I want to assure you that my background and experience as a project/grant manager has greatly enable me to contribute to what MINCAM is today and if given one final opportunity, I will contribute to taking MINCAM the great organization that was envisaged by our founding members. Thank you. Frederick NDIP Chief , MECA-MN
