NIRSA HEALTH AND WELL BEING COMMISSION AND COMMUNITIES OF PRACTICE

EMPHASIS AREAS Increase the dialog among campus recreation student and professional members of holistic health Empower campus recreation staff through knowledge of best practices, trends in the field of health and wellbeing Create and enhance resources that allow campus recreation staff to collaborate within their institutional partners to improve health and wellbeing outcomes

NEXT STEP: MEMBER ENGAGEMENT Contribute to Habitat discussions on topics shared by commission and of your own interest Discuss ways to involve staff in spectrum of wellbeing: Physical, Social, Occupational, Environmental, Financial, Psychological, Intellectual, and Spiritual Provide best practices included in the resources section of the Communities of Practice section of the NIRSA website Attend the planned Health and Wellbeing Pre-Conference Workshop in Nashville Seek collaborative partnerships with institutional partners for improved health outcomes
