What I’ve learned in Nature detectives

We grew sunflowers here are instructions First we got a plastic cup to use as a plant pot. Second we got a trowel and put soil in our cup. Next we made a hole in our soil not too deep though. Then we put our seed in the hole and covered it up. Last we watered our sunflower and hoped for it to grow.

Bring a plant to school day On bring a plant to school day we all got asked to bring a plant to school so we could plant them in our planter. It was a success we got lots and lots of different types of flowers trailing, tall, small, etc. But sadly when we planted them within a few days they had died.

Parts of a plant 1. FLOWER The flower makes seeds for the plant It contains thin tubes for carrying food, minerals and water. 3. LEAVES leaves make food for the plant. They take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen into the air. 4. ROOTS the roots soak up water and minerals. They also store food for the plant..

Brick investigation During our topic Mrs Earl gave each of our groups a brick. We chose a place to put our brick and hoped some minibeasts made there home there. This went on for five weeks. We got lots of insects.

Can you grow grass on a brick ? We had a chart and you put your name down if we thought yes grass will grow on the brick or no grass will not grow on the brick. THE ANSWER WAS YES

A life cycle of a ladybug

Facts about a spider We all researched a mini beast in partners. I researched a spider with Nathan Patu Manplesi is a tiny spider, you could fit ten on a pencil. All spiders have eight legs Male house spiders are usually seen more than females. Spiders are part of a group called Arachnids.

A very intresting fact Spiders cant fly but they can balloon They pull out silk untill the breeze lifts them into the sky. Most don’t travel high or far, but some have been seen at abiout 10,000 feet and on ships more than 200 miles from land. Most ballooners are very small spiderlings but, adult spiders have been captured by planes with nets.

This is a clown spider

By Carly Thank you for watching Hope you enjoyed it

Heres a quick quiz Can spiders fly? Is Patu Manplesi a big spider no ? Can you grow grass on a brick? What does balloon mean ? What did I researched?
