1) The history of Technip: A French company formed in 1958 by IFP with 20 people Over last 5 years: Acquisition of Mannesman, Aker Deepwater and Coflexip Revenue increased from 1.8 to 4.5 Billion Euros Workforce increased from 6,000 to 19,000 Now largest European Oil & Gas services company Technip is a French company and was formed in 1958 by IFP with only 20 people initially. It increased in size steadily until an unprecedented period of growth over the last 5 years. During this period Technip, through its acquisition of Mannesman, Aker Deepwater and Coflexip has increased its revenues and staff threefold, with a current turnover of around 5 Billion Euros and a workforce of almost 20,000. Its business has changed from being predominantly in the onshore downstream sector, 5 years ago, to where it is today, where almost half its revenue comes from the offshore sector. Its revenues by region reflect the company's world-wide coverage of all the major oil and gas areas. This recent expansion results in Technip now being the largest European Oil & Gas services company and fourth largest in the world.

5) Products / technologies for offshore Turkmenistan TPG 500 jack-up drilling and production platform: Designed to fixed platform rules - over 30 year field life Proven - 2 installed in N.Sea - excellent HSE performance Self installing - no crane vessel or barge, just 3-4 tugs Maximum onshore commissioning - no flotel Flexible fabrication and assembly method Low abandonment cost - re-use potential Technip has a number of proprietary technologies that are appropriate to Offshore Caspian. For Offshore Turkmenistan, with shelf water depths of up to around 100 metres, the following technologies are appropriate: TPG 500 jack-up drilling and production platform: The TPG 500 is a jack-up drilling and production platform which, unlike a mobile drilling unit that requires onshore inspections every 5 years, is designed to fixed platform rules and can remain offshore for over 30 years. The concept is proven with two TPG 500 platforms already installed in the harsh environment of the North Sea where they have achieved excellent HSE performance. The TPG 500 platform is self-installing and therefore does not require a heavy lift crane vessel or barge, just 3-4 tugs. This means that installation can be performed without the risks associated with the availability and mob/de-mob of a large marine vessel. The concept permits maximum onshore commissioning and therefore no requirement for a large offshore workforce and flotel. The TPG 500 platform, with its buoyant hull, has flexibility in its fabrication and assembly. For example, the BP Shah Deniz platform is being constructed in self-floating strips in Singapore, which are brought through the Volga-Don canal and assembled at Technip's Zykh yard in Baku. Platform removal is the reverse of installation and hence there is a low abandonment cost and a high re-use potential. BP Harding Elf Elgin Shah Deniz platform and assembly method

5) Products / technologies for offshore Turkmenistan TPG 500 MFC (Multi-Field Concept) platform: Jack-up drilling, production platform with integrated subsea oil storage tank Design derived from the TPG 500 series of platforms Re-locatable - suitable for: early production systems for multiple fields fields with limited local infrastructure production of heavy or waxy crudes The TPG 500 MFC is a jack-up drilling, production platform with an integrated subsea oil storage tank. Its design is derived from the proven TPG 500 series of platforms. It is re-locatable and therefore suitable for: early production systems for multiple fields; fields with limited local infrastructure (such as platforms remote from oil or gas export pipelines); production of heavy crudes (where dry trees are required for maintenance of downhole pumps) or waxy crudes (where product mixing is not economically favourable).

5) Products / technologies for offshore Turkmenistan TPG 500 jackdeck platform: Incorporates conventional integrated truss deck for topsides facilities Deck fully commissioned onshore, minimum offshore HUC and rapid operation Transport and installation using a barge Single installation operation Legs lowered and deck elevated using the TPG 500 jacking systems No HLV or flotel required Low abandonment cost - re-use potential The TPG 500 jackdeck platform incorporates a conventional integrated truss deck to support the topsides facilities. The deck is fully commissioned onshore and hence there is a minimum of offshore HUC and rapid start-up and operation are therefore possible. The platform is transported to the field and installed using a barge in a single operation. The legs are lowered and the deck elevated using the proven TPG 500 jacking systems. As a result, no HLV or flotel is required. Platform removal is the reverse of installation and hence there is a low abandonment cost and a high re-use potential.

5) Products / technologies for offshore Turkmenistan Unideck floatover system: 2,200-18,000 tonne decks installed Suitable for West African long period swells using hydraulic jacks for rapid load transfer Minimum load applied to the jacket (soft mooring lines/rubber fenders) No HLV required Deck fully commissioned and tested onshore Minimum offshore hook-up The Unideck floatover system has been used to successfully install integrated decks of between 2,200 and 18,000 tonnes. The design is also suitable for West Africa where the long period swells create excessive heaving of the barge and where proprietary hydraulic jacks are used for rapid load transfer. Loads applied to the jacket are minimised by the use of soft mooring lines and rubber fenders. No HLV is required, the deck is fully commissioned and tested onshore and therefore there is a minimum of offshore hook-up and commissioning.
