Sujan Manandhar

 E-Recruitment has become the primary communication and marketing tool used for recruiting and enrolling prospective employees and students  Uses the tools of the internet along with databases and content delivery methods to cater to applicant demands quickly.

 Decreases the need for print communications  Containing costs  Shifting the information load to the Internet.  Responds to the preferred way in which students today conduct their college search and handle business transactions.  Increase the efficiency of the process

 Reduce time to hire or enroll  Provide access to a larger and more diverse candidate pool.  Efficient management of communication with candidates  The ability to easily report on key performance metrics as a result of internet based tracking systems.  Allowing easier monitoring and tracking of recruitment related activities. Advantages

 Problems with the technology  Difficulties in tailoring e-recruitment systems to meet the particular needs of their recruitment process.  Problems with having to simultaneously operate both online and off-line systems, and a lack of integration of e-recruitment systems and existing systems.  Acceptability to a broad spectrum of applicants.

 Design as candidate friendly online processes  Consider user perspective  Accepting applications in some cases through other methods.  Research on service providers, such as applicant tracking system providers and vendors of online assessment tools  Relevant and objective online screening and assessment tools  Look at how advanced/developed your e-recruitment practices are in relation to other organizations and will help them identify where their e-recruitment strategy needs to be further developed  Honest internal evaluation of strengths and weaknesses, campus objectives, your mission as it relates to your community, and any other external factors

 Strategy Development: ◦ An E-Market Evaluation Clear and narrow objective Define and consider all variables  Apply appropriate, proven technology  Importance of human element  Respond promptly and personally, on demand, to every prospective student inquiry  Use first point of contact to capture a few initial fields  Use initial contact data to Follow-up (by person best- equipped to help)and /or filter :Prompt and personal.  Use internal resources for efficient, easy tasks like building a database.  Using global search engines and Search Engine Optimization
