Other activities – KNOW Krajowe Naukowe Ośrodki Wiodące (National Leading Scientific Centres) new approach = additional funding for top quality research institutions first call for proposals held in 2012 in 2 areas: (1) medical sciences (2) maths/phys./chem. sciences funding up to PLN 50 million for 5 years per KNOW funding aimed at i.a. strengthening R&D capacity, employment of foreign scholars
