Academic year 2008/2009 – almost 2 million students at 445 universities and higher education schools (130 public)

„Intellectual Property” optionally introduced to curriculum – individual decision of particular university

Since the academic year 2008/2009, intellectual property issues have been introduced as obligatory into syllabuses in all faculties of academic schools.
Number of lecture hours:
First degree studies (BA): 4 hours introduction + 15 hours (1 semester)
Second degree studies (MA): additional 15 hours (1 semester)
PhD studies: 10 hours

4. IP Education Insufficient number of teachers
Proposed solution - postgraduate training (2 semesters):
 participants – scientific staff from different faculties
 free of charge – financed by Ministry of Science and Higher Education
 under development - consortium of 4 universities to „train the trainers”
e-learning  elaboration of IP issues  access through website  Use of WIPO-KIPO-KIPA IP Panorama® toolkit
