Nature of work 1. Follow a checklist of preflight checks on engines, hydraulics, and other systems 2. Ensure that all cargo has been loaded and that the aircraft weight is properly balanced 3. Check fuel, weather conditions, and flight schedules 4. Contact the control tower for takeoff and arrival instructions 5. Start engines, operate controls, and steer aircraft along planned routes 6. Monitor engines, fuel consumption, and other aircraft systems during flight 7. Navigate the aircraft, using cockpit instruments 8. Ensure a smooth takeoff and landing

Education and Training needed 1. Military 2. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree from a civilian flying school. 3. Taking lessons from a Federal Aviation Administration. 4. Commercial pilot’s license. 5. Airline certifications.

Other Qualifications necessary 1. Instrument rating. 2. Communication skills. 3. Depth perception. 4. Monitoring skills. 5. Detail oriented.

Job outlook and (future) prospects 1. Truck Driver

Nature of work 1. Load and unload cargo. 2. Drive long distances. 3. Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road. 4. Follow all applicable traffic laws. 5. Inspect their trailer before and after the trip, and record any defects they find.

Education and Training needed 1. Some companies require their truck drivers to have a high school diploma or equivalent. 2. All long-haul truck drivers must have a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). 3. Most trucking companies prefer their drivers to have at least 2 years of related experience. 4. Some drivers attend professional driving schools. 5. Truck drivers transporting hazardous materials (HAZMAT) must have a hazardous materials endorsement

Job outlook and (future) prospects 1.
