G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio Explain in your own words what happens on the classroom Wiki-workspace. In the classroom Wiki-workspace one of the things we do is share are Blogs and Discussion portals and everybody can share what they did in Gate today. It is also a place were we can go to other websites that are required in the work that day.

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio I use Performance Based Objectives in GATE. PBOs are important because we can show who is doing well and who is having trouble. In conclusion how was your “performance”.

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio I use Language Based Objectives in GATE. LBOs are important because we can use proper language and grammar so when someone reads are work they don’t have to ask the questions “What does that say?” or “Does that make sense?” so we can actually grade or look over other peoples work

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio What is Red Light Thinking? Red light thinking is just gathering facts and evidence. Example bellow. Jupiter is the fifth planet from the sun. It is 483 million miles from the sun. That's more than five times Earth's distance from the sun. Jupiter, the largest planet, was named after the king of the Roman gods. It is larger across than eleven Earths! Jupiter has at least 27 moons. One of Jupiter's moons is larger than the planet Mercury!

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio What is Yellow Light Thinking? Yellow Light Thinking is looking over our facts or evidence and we ask questions and draw cunclusions. Example bellow. 2. According to scientists, why might Uranus be spinning on its side? They think that an earth size object must have crashed in to Uranus.

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio What is Green Light Thinking? Green Light thinking is simply going beyond asking “What if this happened?” or “What if that…” Just thinking out of the box. Example on side. Pretend you are an astronaut and you have been told to go explore Jupiter. What would some of the problems be? What would you need to take with you? I would need a space suit with a rocket because the planet is made of gas. I would need food and water and a space ship. The problems I would run in to are that the rocket stopped working and we ran out of food and water.

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio Why is our GATE Student Checklist important? Our Gate student Checklist is important because it tells you what you have to do in what order and in what order and you don’t have to wait for any body else or you don’t feel like you have to rush to catch up with everybody else.

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio This shape I created trying to copy the actual shape it turned to something else. To me it looks like mountains.

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio GATE Student Journal An accomplishment I have been accomplishing is cleaning my room more often. Something I’m proud to share that I did over the weekend is doing my track meet and I got 3 rd in 500 meter dash, 2 nd in 100 meter dash, and 1 st in relay race. One more thing I’m still doing well in my academic and personal goals. This is one of my journal entrys. It was one of my entrys that I did on what I was doing outside of class

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio Solar Systems Name the eight planets in order. Post a graphic of your favorite planets. 1.Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars,Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune These are pictures of my two favorite planets: Mars and Earth.

G.A.T.E. Student Portfolio Solar Systems These are some facts I learned when we were doing are solar system unit. 1.Mars was one time thought too have a face on it witch turned out not too be true. 2.The largest star that is known to us is VV Cephei. 3.The sun is the smallest star. 4.There is another star that has a similar name to V V Cephei and it is called V354 Cephei it is the Second largest star.
