Blair: It said something about filling out a form and mailing it promptly. What does “promptly” mean? Donna: “Promptly” means right away or as soon as you can. Blair: Why does the government want information from me? Donna: This information helps them to know what our community needs like schools, hospitals and streets. Blair: OK then. I guess I’ll fill it out. Donna: Me too. Besides, if we mail it in, they won’t need to send a Census worker to my home to help me. Blair: I guess that’s the least we can do.
