Students will learn and participate in a variety of team and individual sports. The fitness room allows our students to work out using strength and cardio equipment once a week. Classes will participate in a Life Fitness unit this spring, which brings instructors from the community in to teach the students a variety of fitness activities.

PE uniforms are available at Action Sports (located at the corner of Colorado Ave. and LaGrange Rd.) If your child is not able to participate in PE due to an injury or an illness, please provide his/her teacher with a doctor’s note excusing them from PE activities.

Every year, each PE class will go into the Health classroom for a 30 day rotation. Students will cover a variety of topics, depending on the grade level. 6 th Grade - Mental, social, and emotional health - Nutrition - Human body systems - Safety concerns 7 th Grade - Mental, social, and emotional health - Personal health - Non-communicable diseases - Alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs - Human body systems 8 th Grade - Mental, social, and emotional health - Nutrition - Alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs - Communicable diseases - Sexual education

We will be offering intramural activities several times throughout the school year. Students will have the opportunity to be active and have fun with friends and classmates. All intramurals will be held after school. Some of the activities that will be offered are Ultimate Frisbee, Basketball, Volleyball, Bowling, Climbing Wall, and many more!!
