Role and Responsibilities School Ed Tech Coach Role and Responsibilities

PSUSD Creates New Position! Position created in accordance with PSUSD Technology Plan to meet 21st Century learning needs of our students. One teacher per site Primary function of Site Education Technology Coaches to provide support for site teachers as they integrate technology into curricular learning activities to raise academic achievement.

What is a coach? Cheerleader Mentor Model Facilitator Friend Understanding Leader Trainer Collaborator Listener Confidante Sidekick Sage Guide Partner Confessor Learner Advocate Fan

The Role of the Education Technology Coach Support and guide each teacher’s integration of technology into classroom instruction One to one support Training workshops Classroom modeling Attend district-wide Education Technology Coach support meetings and trainings Provide leadership and assistance for maintaining the school web site Work with school site administration and staff to develop and implement the School Site Technology Plan using the PSUSD Technology Plan as supporting foundation Assist in collection of data required for planning, such as the CA School Site Survey and the Ed Tech Profile

Important Note The role of the coach is not to fix hardware or software problems To fix hardware and software problems contact the helpdesk using the procedures dictated by your site principal The coach can help you understand that process

Training and Support for Coaches CTAP Coaching Academy Monthly Site Coach PLC Meetings Access to other coaches through on-line supports to share articles, best practices, questions, concerns, ideas.
