Slavery FREEThe Spanish forced the Indians to work in their field for FREE!!! Many died from the harsh conditions. To replace the dead Indians, the Spanish brought in Africans to become slaves. Slavery is when someone is owned and has to work for free.

Were forced to work in the missions for free. Died from conditions, diseases, and war. To replace the dead natives, the Spanish went to Africa and kidnapped the people. They brought them back to the New World to become slaves.
