Seed Cycle Types of trees and flowers Seasons

The Sun Water Good Soil Time The right temperature

A seed DOES need water to grow.

A seed DOES need good temperature to grow. Without the right temperature the seed would die. Try Again!

A seed DOES need the sunlight to grow into a plant. The sunlight is a very important “ingredient” during the seed cycle. Try Again!

Soil DOES help a seed grow into a plant. It provides nutrition. Without good soil the seed wouldn’t grow. Try Again!

A plant does NOT need a shovel to grow. A shovel might be helpful to plant a seed, but it has nothing to do with the seed actually growing.

Red Maple Tree: Fast growing tree that grows up ft. Overcup Oak Tree: Takes up a lot of space. It grows ft. Has a round shape. Weeping Willow Tree: Grows up to ft. Branches touch the ground.

This is a daisy. Next Question!

Click on the Weeping Willow.

This is a Over cup Oak Tree. Try to think back about the information about the weeping willow. Try Again!

This isn’t a tree this is a tulip, which is a flower. Think about the differences between a flower and a tree. Try Again!

This is the weeping willow tree! Look at how the branches touch the ground.

These are the four seasons! Next you will be watching a video to see what happens to flowers and trees when these seasons are present.

Observe how the different seasons affect the plants

Click on the letter on the picture of the plant that is in the summer.

This is not the season summer. This is spring, here are more pictures of plants in the spring. Try Again!

You’re right this is a plant in the summer! Here are more flowers and trees in the summer time.

This is not summer, this is fall! Try thinking back to the video what plants look like in the summer. Here are more pictures of plants in the fall! Try Again!

This is winter not summer time. Hint: Winter is very cold and summer is very hot. Think about how the temperature affects the plants. Here are more pictures of plants in the winter! Try Again!
