Fair Oaks Dairy Farm Field trip By: Ashton

Where does milk come from? Milk is produced by dairy cows.

What happens on a dairy farm? The cows are gathered for milking. Calves are fed some of the warm milk. After milking the Dairy-go-round is cleaned. Cows are fed. The tanker arrives to collect the milk. Then it is sold in stores.

Dairy farm How much milk does a cow produce each day? 8 to 9 gallons

What foods can be made from milk? cheese Ice-cream Yogurt Cottage cheese Sour cream Pudding
