How ANA Practice Standards Relate to Med/Surg and Pediatric Acute Care Nursing - Esther Kolff The hospital which I work for uses the ANA practice standards for all our nursing care. Throughout the year I need to document specific examples that show evidence that I meet these standards in place, and bring it to my yearly evaluation. I am required to have Pediatric Advanced Life Support Monthly competencies are required that show we understand the guidelines set in place.

How ANA Practice Standards Relate to Cardiology Nursing - Marcie Montgomery Cardiology nurses are required to have certification in CPR, ACLS, and demonstrate competency in EKG interpretation. Annual evaluations are utilized to maintain standards of care within my professional practice and to ensure our practices are adapting with all the new technologies and discoveries. Incorporation of Munson’s mission statement into my practice by providing competent, high quality, holistic care to every patient every time.

How ANA Practice Standards Relate to Emergency Department Nursing -Suanne Unger My position in the Emergency Department requires me to have specific areas of training.  Advance Cardiac Life Support  Pediatric Advanced Life Support  Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification The level of training and certifications in my practice give me a level of expertise, and with this, also the responsibility and accountability for my actions.

How ANA Practice Standards Relate to Perianesthesia Nursing - Sue Vansteel The scope of Perianesthesia nursing involves age-specific assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation of individuals with the Perianesthesia continuum. Our practice is systematic, integrative and holistic and involve critical thinking, clinical decision making and inquiry Perianesthesia nursing is a competency based practice that integrates knowledge, attitude, skills, and behaviors to maintain consistent standards of care.
