MISSION ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS (MER) ARMY MODULAR FORCE (AMF) TRAINING SUPPORT ASSISTANCE AND INTEGRATION DIRECTORATE

TRADOC tasked to determine training support Minimum Essential Requirements (MER*) to support conversion and sustainment of modular units at home station and during deployment. Identify type and quantities of training enablers required and projected overages and shortages by installation in accordance with the Army Transformation Schedule. * For TADSS, ranges, ammunition, instrumentation, training facilities, intelligence related training, etc. MISSION

Actions to date and way ahead: Staffed draft AMF Unit MER with proponent schools incl: CASCOM, MANSCEN, Forts; Sill, Knox, Benning, Huachuca, Rucker, CAC-T, NSC Submitted draft Generic MER to DAMO-TRS, 09 Dec 04 In a coordinated effort with FORSCOM, NSC, PEO-STRI conducted site visits to all AC installations/AMF Units including: 3ID (Ft. Stewart) Prelim.- 10 th Mountain (Ft. Drum) 82ABN (Ft. Bragg)- 1CD (Ft. Bliss) 1CD/4ID (Ft. Hood)- 1ID/1AD (Ft. Riley) 4ID (Ft. Carson) Synchronize MER with emerging CATS Expand visits over time to address other AMF Units (ARNG), Global Repositioning, BRAC, AC/RC rebalance initiatives MER DEVELOPMENT

A refined MER that reflects the necessary enablers for an AMF BCT to be successful in a training environment. A MER that represents the installations unique requirements. END STATE
