Objective Show the consequences that driving under the effect of alcohol can bring. We want to improve this situation in our country with the expectation of decreasing and preventing these sorts of accidents. Also, to expand the acknowledgement of the services that insurance has with the designated drivers.

Justification We want to improve the conditions of the country, and also it seems that now days, one of the main causes of death in the world are car accidents. The main goal of our project is to give a message to the citizens about the importance of driving safely without alcohol.

Alluded public We hope this message helps everyone especially young adults because they are the future generations and they are the ones that need to spark a change. Also we want to make teenagers to think before acting because they are going trough a stage in life were they are not responsible enough to making choices.

Problems and difficulties doing the project What we thought was harder was finding a contact with the company, that will help us by publishing the video in their webpage to help us promote it. Recreating the scene of the accident in the video, also it seemed really hard to do it.

What did this project gave us in terms of experience and acknowledgement This project is to make people aware of the consequences that can bring driving under the effects of alcohol. It is a danger to society, not only for pedestrians but also for drivers. Also it is to make drivers conscious that if they drink alcohol they should not drive, instead they should call a company of designated drivers with the purpose of not putting at risk their lives or others. If people become aware of this, the number of accidents will decrease and pedestrians will feel safer at the time of being on the road.

The ideas Five sophomore students from the Montessori School in Medellin realized the amount of car accidents that exists when people are under the influence of alcohol. This is one of the leading causes of deaths worldwide, and this is not only a risk for drivers but also for the lives of pedestrians.

In 2011, driving under the influence of alcohol caused 5,792 deaths in Colombia. The students decided to do something to reduce this type of accident after meeting with the company Asistencia Gerardo Suarez S.A.S ; the largest company of designated drivers in Antioquia.

Based on the research done, the students decided to make a video to show and explain the consequences that can bring driving under the influence of alcohol and the benefits of using the service of designated drivers. This will decrease deaths and also seek solutions to prevent accidents.

The initiatives The students chose a phrase "life is very important, so that in one night your damage yours and others." It is very important that people are aware of what they do, not only adults, but also young people as well because they are not conscious and they drive under the effects of alcohol. The students took the initiative to make a video to show what could happen in a traffic accident and how many people could be affected.

The students have a lot of work because all members play an important role in both the recording and writing the dialogue and editing the video. The students want the support of a chosen company drivers in the municipality of Antioquia as it is assistance Gerardo Suarez SAS, a company that offers the service of designated drivers which consists in a designated driver taking the car of a person who is under the effect of alcohol and takes them home safely. They'll create a Web page in order to make people aware of the consequences and to collaborate with decreasing mortality in the city of Medellin.

The students will publish their work in the competition page, in the webpage they created and it will be published were it is easily accessible to teachers and jury. Their main goal is to divulge the importance of helping Medellin mobility.
