What is RSS? RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication," “Rich Site Summary,” “RDF Site Summary,” depending on the RSS specifications referred to. RSS is an XML format for syndicating sites with frequently updated content.

RSS Specifications RSS v. 0.9 and v “RDF Site Summary” RSS v “Rich Site Summary” RSS v "Really Simple Syndication” Also There is ATOM. RSS 2.0 and ATOM are the most common.
