TAFE Year 10 Options

What Year 10 courses do we offer at TAFE?

Preparation for Year 10 1 semester Full-Time. For students needing longer study time to reach year 10 level.

CGVE 1 semester Full-Time (Minimum) For students needing School Certificate equivalence for desired reason (e.g. Army) Preparation for Year 11/12 1 semester Full-Time (Minimum) Prepares you for HSC/TPC studies for students who want year 10 or need to work on skills for year 12 studies

THEN… HSC / TPC (year 12 level) – 2 years (or more) Full-Time OR… Vocational Options (Cert 3 or 4 or Diploma)

MONDAY-THURSDAY ONLY Most classes start between 8.30 and 10.30am Most classes finish at 5pm Classes commence on Monday 7 th February 2011 TAFE Classes are a BIG commitment

What will I study in these courses? Subjects may include: Science English Maths Computing Humanities / History/ Geography / Australian Studies / Art Digital Photography / Media There are no formal exams at the end of these courses, however there are ongoing assessments, practical tests and essays to complete throughout the courses.

What other options are there? As part of your studies you may wish to FAST TRACK your course because of previous studies. This is called RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) MAY allow you to fast track Especially if you have completed elements of Year 10, 11 or 12 studies at school or TAFE. Talk to your interviewer today YOU WILL HAVE TO PROVIDE EVIDENCE OF PREVIOUS STUDIES
